In particular, certain Microsoft Outlook configurations with the PST file containing a users\u2019 messages stored on OneDrive could cause Outlook to hang or lead to sent messages going missing or previously downloaded emails being re\u2011downloaded.<\/p>\n<p>In response, Microsoft has issued a bunch of out-of-band emergency updates for <a href=\"https:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/en-us\/topic\/january-24-2026-kb5078127-os-builds-26200-7628-and-26100-7628-out-of-band-cf5777f6-bb4e-4adb-b9cd-2b64df577491\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Windows 11<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/en-us\/topic\/january-24-2026-kb5078129-os-builds-19045-6812-and-19044-6812-out-of-band-cfbdbb30-81eb-49ff-ada2-c2af09aa7c1e\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">and 10<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/en-us\/topic\/january-24-2026-kb5078131-os-build-17763-8281-out-of-band-8a3f489a-2ce0-49d0-b28d-ee2acf9dfa0d\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Windows Server 2019<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/en-us\/topic\/january-24-2026-kb5078136-os-build-20348-4651-out-of-band-7475a7eb-ac13-4624-89ee-ec027ed15f54\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">2022<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/en-us\/topic\/january-24-2026-kb5078135-os-build-26100-32236-out-of-band-1dd50b78-08e5-4e13-ae0f-a0c4ff61a2e5\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">2025<\/a> to solve the problem.<\/p>\n<p>This is not the first time that Microsoft has had to issue a patch for a patch. Just last week, it had to react when it inadvertently introduced two new bugs: an inability to connect to Windows Cloud PCs and an inability to shut down some machines with Secure Launch enabled.
